چکیده
STUDY POPULATION. Subjects were 278 children (age: 5–14 years) with seasonal grass pollen-induced allergic rhinoconjunctivitis for 2 years. Allergy was confirmed by a timothy grass-specific immunoglobulin E (IgE) level of at least class 2 and a wheal diameter of 3 mm in a skin-prick test containing 5 grass pollens included in the SLIT tablet (orchard, meadow, perennial rye, sweet vernal, and timothy grasses). Patients who were sensitized to other allergens present during the grass pollen season, patients who had previously received immunotherapy for grass pollen allergy, and patients with asthma who were receiving medications other than 2-adrenergic receptor agonists were excluded.

Efficacy and safety of 5-grass-pollen sublingual immunotherapy tablets in pediatric allergic rhinoconjunctivitis.
BACKGROUND The efficacy and safety of the 300-index of reactivity (IR) dose of 5-grass-pollen sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) tablets (Stallergènes, Antony, France) have been demonstrated for the treatment of hay fever in adults. OBJECTIVE We sought to assess the efficacy and safety of this tablet in children and adolescents with grass pollen-related allergic rhinitis. METHODS In this multi...

PURPOSE OF REVIEW Sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) is indicated for the use in pediatric patients suffering from allergic rhinitis or allergic rhinoconjunctivitis caused by environmental allergens, such as ragweed pollen, grass pollen, and dust mite. This review focuses on recent and relevant studies associated with the use of SLIT for these allergens in children by examining efficacy, safety, a...
متن کاملEfficacy and safety of 5-grass pollen sublingual immunotherapy tablets in patients with different clinical profiles of allergic rhinoconjunctivitis
BACKGROUND The optimal dose of grass pollen tablets for sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) in allergic rhinoconjunctivitis patients was previously established in a multinational, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study in 628 adults. Patients were randomized to receive once-daily 5-grass pollen sublingual tablets of 100 IR (index of reactivity), 300 IR or 500 IR, or placebo starting 4 m...
متن کاملPD14 - Non-interventional 2-year study of sublingual immunotherapy in children and adolescents with allergic rhinoconjunctivitis caused by grass pollen
Background The aim of this non-interventional study was to document the impact of a sublingual allergen immunotherapy (AIT) with Oralair 5-grass pollen tablets (Stallergenes, France) on symptom severity, use of symptomatic medication and tolerability in patients with grass pollen-induced allergic rhinoconjunctivitis (RC) over 2 years of routine medical practice treatment. This poster focuses on...
متن کاملCarbamylated monomeric allergoids as a therapeutic option for sublingual immunotherapy of dust mite- and grass pollen-induced allergic rhinoconjunctivitis: a systematic review of published trials with a meta-analysis of treatment using Lais® tablets.
Lais® allergoid tablets contain allergens that are modified by carbamylation. Due to their modified chemical structure, they are suitable for sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) (13, 16, 17, 24). Based on their small molecule size of 12 to 40 kDa, they can be easily absorbed via the oral mucosa (1). In this review, we studied the efficacy of SLIT with carbamylated monomeric allergoid tablets in the...
